This spot is dedicated to the preparation and life of Claire Cox. Claire has been diagnosed with Trisomy 18, which is a genetic disease caused by an extra chromosome at the 18th spot. We know that God can cure Claire at any time, and continue to pray for this; however we also know that His Will, will be done!

I left the hospital this morning feeling inspired and uplifted. My newest sister is beautiful and perfect. What an angel!!
And her mommy.. WOW! I have never seen a woman look so beautiful after childbirth.
Dad, your sprit is contagious. Thank you for being the constant for all of us.
Claire Hope is a lucky little lady to have this strong, tenacious family. She is a true Cox, disregarding the odds to share her life with us. And how lucky we are! AMEN, how BLESSED we are!
This day is a milestone in my life, and I am proud to be part of this steadfast family.

Last night I rememberbered something lovely that happened at school. The students know what is going on. There were morning and afternoon prayers over the intercom for Emily, Claire, and their family. In addition my phone was left on so that I could receive news about my beloved niece and her very special parents. The phone happened to ring as the students were changing classes. My students coming in were so sweet, quiet, and courteous, allowing me to listen carefully. They told me they knew as soon as they came out of the door of the other class that I was getting news because all the 6th graders waiting in the hall were standing quietly, hands folded, praying. How beautiful!
