A day in the Life of Claire

This spot is dedicated to the preparation and life of Claire Cox. Claire has been diagnosed with Trisomy 18, which is a genetic disease caused by an extra chromosome at the 18th spot. We know that God can cure Claire at any time, and continue to pray for this; however we also know that His Will, will be done!

Good News, Camille did not get a cold, and neither has Claire! Tammy must have went through six cans of Lysol spray, and it must have worked.
Everything is still going well with Claire, we just are starting to feel like the Duncan Donut Man, "time to make the donuts". Every time we turn around it is time to feed Claire again. Every three hours comes fast. We have set our phone alarms to go off to help us keep up with it. It takes about 45 minutes to feed her, so by the time we finish, it seems like it is time to start again.
We have had MANY people tell us that they have sent comments in to us via this blog, and we never received them. The way this works is: All comments are sent to us first, then we approve them, and then they appear on the blog site. We approve them ALL, so if you sent us one, and it has not appeared on the site, I apologize, but we never got it. If you have had trouble, you can also go to the "profile" section and click on "email" to send us a message directly, we will "cut and paste" it onto the site.
Thanks for your continued prayers and support!

Claire - I LOVE THE PINK FUR - your Mom sure knows how to spoil a little girl. Tammy and Billy - I am so excited to read your comments - I read them to my family every day. I am so glad Camille did not get a cold - she needs all the strength she has to take care of little sis. I hope to see you all soon. HUGS AND KISSES!

    Dear Cox Family,

I had never heard of Trisomy 18 until a year ago when some friends of my husband had a little boy with Trisomy 18. Since that time I have come across several born with it including Eliot and Claire. Thank you for sharing your story. Please know that we are praying for your precious little one and for your family as you adjust to life with Claire. May God Bless You!

I am new to Claire's page. She is just a doll! I have a 7 month old Trisomy 13 baby and was told at a week old that he would not live. Keep the faith and God bless!

I open my eyes every morning with thoughts of Claire and Eliot. I had a baby girl eight weeks ago and returned to work from maternity leave the day Claire was born. She has truly been a blessing to my family we check on her every day. You are in our prayers! Thank you for sharing your story. She is absolutely beautiful!

    Dear Bill and Tammy
I just read Claire's site.Wow! All I can say is my prayers are with you. She is a beautiful little girl and you are so lucky to have her. When Evan was born he had several problems but, nothing like what you are going through. I know it is very hard for you but, by reading the positive things you have posted on the site I think you are doing very well. We still battle Asthma everyday but, otherwise he is doing great. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I will continue to read your updates and pray for daily

I don't think my 8 year old little Holden could have said it any better than when he came into the room lastnight (after he was suppose to be asleep) and said "Mom, we need to pray for Claire. I want her to be with us." So...he knelt down by my bed and said "Jesus, I pray for Claire that she be okay and that she be all Mammy & Uncle Billy want her to be. Amen." Oh how I know she already is "all that Mammy & Uncle Billy want her to be." We are so thankful she is with us and you all know how much we love you.

    Dear Tammy,

You and your beautiful family have been in my prayers daily. Your courage, strength and faith have always been your strong qualities ever since you were a young girl. Claire is as beautiful baby and I know she is good hands...He will keep her safe. Love.
